Editing and proofreading

Editing & Proofreading

Your words, only sharper.

Editing is more than hunting for typos. When digging into your copy, the whole picture comes into focus to make sure your story flows, your message is clear, and your ideal client knows exactly what you offer and why it matters.

Every editing project covers three layers:

  • Developmental Editing: big picture, content, voice, and audience.

  • Copyediting: flow, structure, and clarity.

  • Proofreading: spelling, punctuation, grammar, consistency, format, and layout.

If we’re working on your website, every link gets checked for consistency and accuracy, because the details matter.

The Deep Dive Process

Whether I am working with you to create copy for your website, newsletter, social media posts, or blog, it’s not just about filling pages with words; it’s about creating a vibrant, informative ecosystem where your audience can easily find the info they need.

Before a single word gets written, the homework gets done.

Every project starts with the Deep Dive Process, because good copy doesn't come from guesswork. It comes from really knowing your world.

We Talk. A quick questionnaire and a one-hour conversation get me inside your brand, your goals, and the way you naturally talk about what you do.

We Dig In. Your social platforms, blogs, videos, and reviews all tell a story. By the time writing begins, your voice is already familiar.

We Share. A Google Drive folder keeps everything organized. Drop in documents, links, keywords, anything useful, and the rest gets handled.

The Writing Begins. Content that sounds like you.

We Refine. You review, we tweak, and polish until it's exactly right.

Words are my gig!

...Whether you’re looking for a skilled writer or a storyteller who can breathe life into your brand, Maggie is a powerhouse…

A Few Words I’ve Written for Others

Author Consulting

So you wrote a book. Now what?

Whether you have a napkin full of ideas, a half-finished manuscript collecting dust, or a completed draft you're not sure what to do with, you're in the right place.

Let's be real about what I am and what I'm not.

If your goal is to land a seven-figure deal with a major publishing house and become the next Tom Clancy, I'm probably not your gal.

But if you have a story worth telling and you need someone in your corner who has been through the process, made the mistakes, learned the lessons, and come out the other side with five published books and a whole lot of hard-won wisdom? Pull up a chair.

I'm not a publisher, an agent, or a publicist. What I am is a writer, editor, and author who genuinely loves helping people get their book out of their head and into the world. I also happen to have a great network of contacts who can help with the pieces that fall outside my lane, and I'm happy to connect you with the right people when the time comes.

Your story deserves to be told.

Let's make sure it gets told well. Whether you're at the beginning, the middle, or the very end of your writing journey, there's a place to start. And it starts with a conversation.
